WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Words, and we just need to answer 3W questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Sangu Mandanna, A Spark of White Fire

My newest read is A Spark of White Fire. I received the sequel (without realizing it was a sequel) from NetGalley so I borrowed this book from my library. (Yes I broke my book ban! But for a good cause ok!!!)

I really like stories set in space (think Cowboy Bebop or Firefly) and this book promises inspiration from ancient Indian stories, so I’m excited!

What did you recently finish reading?

Ann Leckie, Ancillary Justice

I just finished Ancillary Justice. It’s a space opera (yes, I’m jumping from one space book to another) that my boyfriend recommended to me! It also won a lot of prestigious awards when it was published.

This book had a lot of the elements I love in space stories, including multiple planets, messy politics, and unique cultures. This book was especially interesting because of its dialogue on gender and default to female pronouns.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Sangu Mandanna, A House of Rage and Sorrow

My next read will likely be A House of Rage and Sorrow, aka the sequel to my current read. It’s set to be published September 17th, so keep an eye out if you’re interested!

Since I haven’t started the first book yet, I don’t have any expectations for this one but I am excited for more space things.

What have you recently read? What’s your next anticipated read?
